Patricia has been knitting for 45 years, mastering all weights.  She has focused her attention on fingering and lace weights.  Patricia started knitting socks about 30 years ago and loves to knit socks.  Currently, she enjoys the complexity of lacework. 

Assisting in the Queen Susan Shawl project, Patricia has become knowledgeable in the art of chart design.  She lives in the upstate area of South Carolina and travels throughout the Southeast teaching and sharing techniques.
 

 

 

 

 

 After retiring from his 27 year career in Corporate Information Technologies, to enjoy his retirement and follow his passion, Tom opened "in the woods campground". 

A self taught knitter at 16, Tom has been knitting throughout his life enjoying the relaxing aspect of the craft.   At "in the woods," Tom hopes to share his love of nature and fiber arts.

 

 

 

2 complete projects to choose from incorporating many techniques: 

A teddy bear sweater                                                               or         an English Driving Cap

The Teddy Bear Sweater you will learn: Short Rows; Simultaneous Set-in Sleeves; Steeking; colorwork (2 handed); knit-in Zipper; Button Bands

The English Driving Cap you will learn:  Circular cast-on, M1R increases, Short Rows, Outside/Inside Ridges; Purl Cable Cast-on; Kitchener's Stitch (grafting); Finishing; Felting

7:30 - 8:30 Project Knitway -- bring your ugliest project ever made, show it off, win a prize and have fun
